Sarma stated that both projects reflect the central government’s continued focus on Assam and the Northeast under the leadership of PM Modi. He emphasized that these initiatives symbolize Assam’s transformative journey, focusing on connectivity, industrial growth, and self-reliance.
The CM’s invitation and the upcoming projects are seen as a major step in strengthening the Northeast’s infrastructure and economic profile, with the new airport terminal and the Namrup plant expected to bring long-term benefits to the region and its people.
