CM Yogi Adityanath: UP Laying Strong Foundation for ‘New India’ Through AI & Health Innovation
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the state is emerging as a leading technology hub in India through AI, semiconductors, MedTech, and digital innovation. He emphasized that when technology connects with empathy, policy is driven by innovation, and governance is built on trust, development becomes inclusive and the future secure. Speaking at the launch of the UP AI & Health Innovation Conference under the Global AI Impact Summit in Lucknow, CM Yogi highlighted the importance of practical solutions, pilot projects, and a clear roadmap. Union Minister Jitin Prasad was also present on this occasion. He stressed that AI can play a key role in adopting a proactive rather than reactive approach in governance and healthcare. The CM also pointed out that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh had only 40 government and private medical colleges, which has now increased to 81. This demonstrates that the state has moved from the bottom to match the national average in healthcare services. On National Youth Day, he announced that seven Centers of Excellence are being developed in the state under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a step in the journey of a “New India” that aims to improve citizens’ lives and position the country as a global leader.
