Maharashtra | 23 Feb 2026 Actor Rajpal Yadav has returned to work soon after being released from Tihar Jail, showing his determination to move forward. The popular comedian, who was recently granted interim bail in a ₹9 crore cheque bounce case, has started shooting for his next film, marking his first project after the legal setback. According to reports, Rajpal Yadav has begun filming for Welcome to the Jungle, where he will be seen sharing screen space once again with Akshay Kumar. The actor reportedly reached Mumbai and resumed work almost immediately. He is also expected to address the media at a press conference scheduled for February 28. On the legal front, the Delhi High Court granted Rajpal Yadav interim suspension of his sentence until March 18. Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma directed him to submit a personal bond of ₹1 lakh with a surety of the same amount. While granting relief, the court also took note that ₹1.5 crore had already been deposited in the respondent’s bank account. After his release, Rajpal shared an emotional message for his fans on social media, writing, “Aap sabbhi ke pyaar aur saath ke liye dil se dhanyawaad”. Speaking to news agency, he also addressed the case, saying, “I got the privilege of coming out, and regarding the matter which is in the honourable High Court, for any legal questions that arise, the one who will give proper facts and truth-filled answers is our lawyer, Mr. Bhaskar Upadhyay. I have given him the responsibility to stay in proper touch regarding this.” Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film features a large ensemble cast and continues the popular Welcome franchise that began in 2007.
