Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent 2’ Is Breaking YouTube Records
New Delhi, August 31, 2026 Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent has turned its second season into a major digital success, with the show pulling in massive audiences on YouTube while continuing to create viral moments online. Within just two months of its return, the series has established itself as one of India’s biggest digital entertainment shows, proving the strength of its unscripted comedy and unpredictable panel format. The latest Episode 5 has taken the numbers to another level. Featuring Orry, Archana Puran Singh, Nishant Suri and Sharon Verma, the episode crossed 15 million views in seven hours and surpassed 4 crore views in just over 24 hours. Orry’s warning to Samay — “Aukaat mein raho (stay in your limits),” — following the comedian’s “Where there is a will, there’s a gay” remark became one of the episode’s viral moments. Arunachal Pradesh-based creator Chello Meme also repeatedly roasted Samay, while Sharon Verma’s comebacks and Archana Puran Singh’s exchanges with him drew attention. Despite controversy over Samay and Sharon’s Bihari-Kashmiri jokes, the episode continues to attract viewers. The season had started strongly with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari appearing on the premiere while promoting Alpha. Released simultaneously on YouTube and Netflix, the episode collected 47 million YouTube views in four days and recorded 2.2 million viewers on Netflix according to its viewing metric. It has now reached 6.6 crore YouTube views. Episode 3, featuring Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and Harsh Limbachiyaa, has also amassed 4.7 crore views. Samay called having the trio on the show a “dream come true”, while an unexpected performance by a police officer added another memorable moment before Samay won Rs 1 lakh. Other episodes have maintained the momentum, with the Karan Aujla, Gurleen Pannu and Tanmay Bhat episode reaching 4.4 crore views in four weeks, while the episode featuring Raghu Ram, Vishal Dadlani, Tanmay Bhat and Yashraj has recorded 3.9 crore views in a month. Samay described the latter as the “wildest” panel so far. The show’s growing reach was further reflected in Ormax Media’s July mid-year report, which ranked India’s Got Latent 2 as India’s most-watched OTT title in the first half of 2026 with 38.5 million viewers. With some fans arguing that Season 2 has become more toned down than the first season, Samay appears ready to bring back the unpredictability. He has announced Rakhi Sawant for the upcoming episode, seemingly for the “OG Latent fans”. Given the show’s ability to turn unexpected exchanges into viral content, the upcoming episode could add another major chapter to its already record-breaking second season.
