UP stands Number One in Vaccination

Uttar Pradesh stands Number One in Vaccination. The State on Thursday overtook Maharashtra in terms of the total number of vaccinations done against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as its cumulative inoculation coverage crossed 3.59 crore. In another landmark victory against fatal coronavirus, UP becomes the first State to administer first dose to as many as 3 crore people.
Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the leader in the COVID-19 vaccination drive by administering around 7.04 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours.While Maharashtra lags behind with around 3.57 (3,57,54,968) crore doses administered so far.
The total number of doses administered by UP till now are 3,59,79,757 with as many as 3,04,57,139 first doses. While around 55,22,818 are fully vaccinated in the state.
On 6th July, the State of Uttar Pradesh made another record by administering over *10 lakh doses in a single day*. As many as 10,03,435 free vaccine doses were inoculated to people on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, more than 7,10,958 people of the state received their vaccine doses.The Chief Minister in a high level review meeting stated that, “presently the process of vaccination is going on smoothly in Uttar Pradesh. Online slot booking should be encouraged to facilitate vaccination”.
Among the districts, Lucknow is currently leading with around 15,61,210 vaccine doses administered so far, followed by Gautam Buddh Nagar with more than 13,02,568 doses given. On number three stands Ghaziabad with over 11,28,571 doses.
Uttar Pradesh has been carrying out the Covid-19 vaccination drive extensively throughout the State with an aim to inoculate maximum people.The support provided by the Central Government has given a major boost to the vaccination drive which was already going at a rapid pace.
The State has implemented the cluster model of vaccination in all the 75 districts. More than 5000 centers have been set up for vaccinating the age group of 18 to 44 years in Uttar Pradesh. Whereas, to inoculate people above 45, there are over 3000 centers operating in the State. Around 200 booths have been set up for parents of children below 12 years of age. Pink booths were set up in each district to vaccinate women. Vaccination facilities have also been provided in district hospitals for those going abroad for studies, jobs and participating in sports competitions.
