The blow severed the boy’s neck from his torso. He then struck the child’s shoulder, leaving the body mutilated. His family informed authorities that he had been mentally unstable for some time and had gone missing from home three to four days before the killing. Just an hour prior to the murder, he allegedly attempted to steal items from a nearby shop. Judicial Inquiry Ordered A case has been registered, and officials have initiated a judicial inquiry into Mahesh’s death in custody of the mob. Police are also probing the circumstances leading up to the attack to determine if his mental health condition played a direct role in the crime.
