Churu, Rajasthan | 8 January 2026 A 35-year-old woman constable in Rajasthan’s Churu district has levelled grave allegations of repeated sexual assault against four men, including three policemen, stating that she was raped over a period of eight years. Police officials confirmed on Thursday that a medical examination conducted after her complaint has substantiated rape, while investigations into the allegations are currently underway. According to the complaint, the woman alleged that the first incident occurred in 2017 when she was posted at Sardarshahar police station. She claimed that a fellow police constable and an employee of the electricity department, whom she met during an official assignment, invited her over, made her consume alcohol and sexually assaulted her. She further alleged that the abuse continued repeatedly after that incident. The woman stated that after her transfer to Sidhmukh town in 2023, her ordeal worsened. She alleged that her then Station House Officer (SHO) and another constable were acquainted with the earlier accused and were informed about her past. Using this information, they allegedly threatened her and continued to sexually assault her until 2025. Officials said the woman approached the district Superintendent of Police only last week, explaining that fear and pressure prevented her from reporting the matter earlier. While the medical report confirms rape, police have said they are verifying the allegations against all the accused named in the complaint and questioning those involved as part of the ongoing investigation.
