PM Modi Highlights NITI Aayog’s Role in Strengthening State Partnerships
New Delhi, June 11, 2026 As India pursues its vision of becoming a developed nation, greater coordination between the Centre and states is increasingly being viewed as a key driver of progress. Emphasising the value of collaborative governance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said NITI Aayog can serve as an effective platform where states can work together, exchange ideas, and contribute to the country’s overall development goals. Addressing the importance of cooperative federalism, the Prime Minister noted that NITI Aayog provides an opportunity for states to learn from one another’s successful initiatives and governance models. He stressed that sharing best practices and finding common solutions to developmental challenges can help accelerate growth and improve outcomes across sectors. PM Modi underlined that the vision of a developed India can only be achieved through collective efforts involving all states and Union Territories. He highlighted the need for focused discussions on areas such as economic growth, employment, innovation, human development, and social welfare, adding that coordinated action can help ensure balanced and inclusive progress throughout the country. Concluding with a call for stronger partnerships, the Prime Minister said that the spirit of “Team India” must remain at the centre of policymaking and development. He expressed confidence that platforms like NITI Aayog will continue to foster cooperation, encourage innovation, and support the shared objective of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
