No Better Place to Invest Than Andhra Pradesh,’ Says CM Chandrababu Naidu at World Economic Forum
Amaravati | January 20,2026 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday strongly pitched his state as a top global investment hub, saying there is “no better investment destination” than Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) breakfast meeting titled ‘The Andhra Pradesh Advantage’ during the World Economic Forum, he said the state is set to become one of the largest markets for industrialists in the coming years. Inviting global investors to visit Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister urged them to experience the state’s business-friendly environment and fast decision-making process. He said that investors can truly understand the opportunities only by witnessing the state’s “speed of doing business” on the ground. Naidu also expressed confidence that India will emerge as a global power by 2047, with Andhra Pradesh playing a key role in that journey. Highlighting the state’s strong performance in attracting investments, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh has secured nearly 25 percent of all foreign investment commitments made in the country. He outlined vast opportunities in sectors such as green energy, digital infrastructure, advanced technology, fuel, logistics and manufacturing. Referring to Andhra’s growing global brand value, he mentioned major proposed projects, including a $15 billion Google AI data centre in Visakhapatnam and large-scale green energy initiatives. One of the key projects discussed was a $10 billion green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Kakinada, which is approaching a major construction milestone. The project is expected to create up to 8,000 jobs during construction and generate long-term skilled employment across renewable energy, ports, logistics and allied sectors. Naidu added that the state is also focusing on developing a space city, expanding ports and airports, improving highway connectivity and promoting natural farming across 50 lakh acres in the next few years, leveraging Andhra Pradesh’s 1,054-kilometre-long coastline as a major strategic strength.
