Sanjay Khare Appointed Central Railway’s New Principal Chief Engineer

New Delhi, September 22 , 2026 Sanjay Khare has been transferred from Western Railway (WR) to Central Railway (CR) and posted as Principal Chief Engineer (PCE), marking a new senior assignment for the railway engineering officer. Khare was serving as Chief Track Engineer (CTE) at Western Railway before his transfer. In his new role, he will take charge as Principal Chief Engineer of Central Railway and oversee key engineering responsibilities within the zone. An officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), Khare brings experience in railway engineering and track-related responsibilities to his new position. His elevation to the post of PCE places him in one of the senior engineering positions within Central Railway. The transfer marks Khare’s move from Western Railway to Central Railway and his assumption of a key role in the railway zone’s engineering administration.
