In a message shared on X, PM Modi said, “The loss of lives due to a mishap in Konaseema district, Andhra Pradesh, is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time.” He also prayed for the quick recovery of those who were injured in the accident. The explosion took place at the Lakshmi Ganapathi Fireworks unit in Komaripalem village, Rayavaram mandal. According to officials, six workers died instantly, while eight others sustained injuries of varying severity. Two of the critically injured victims were taken to a hospital in Anaparthy, and the others were moved to private medical facilities nearby. Authorities said the fire spread rapidly due to the large amount of flammable chemicals stored in the unit, making it difficult for fire personnel to bring the situation under control. Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock and grief over the tragedy, saying that the loss of innocent lives was deeply painful. He immediately spoke to senior officials to understand the cause of the explosion and review the relief measures being taken. Naidu also directed the district administration to provide the best possible medical treatment to the injured and to extend financial assistance to the families of the deceased. “I have instructed senior officials to visit the site and oversee the rescue and relief work personally,” Naidu said, assuring that the government will support the victims’ families in every possible way.
