New Delhi, Nov 13, 2025: Investigators have revealed chilling details of a terror plan linked to the Red Fort blast in Delhi. Sources close to the case told NDTV that 32 vehicles, including a Hyundai i20, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Swift Dzire, and Maruti Brezza, were being prepared to carry explosives as part of a coordinated attack targeting multiple locations in Delhi. The plot was reportedly timed for December 6, the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition. The i20 that exploded Monday evening was meant to be detonated inside the Red Fort, but the plan was altered as the fort was closed to visitors. Investigators say Umar Mohammed, the main accused, triggered the bomb prematurely near a busy traffic signal and close to a metro station. DNA tests confirmed that Umar died in the blast. Police have traced the other vehicles to Faridabad, Haryana, where the Al-Falah Hospital of Medical Sciences emerged as the terror cell’s base. The red EcoSport, abandoned in Faridabad, contained explosives, and a young man was found sleeping inside and taken into custody. The Dzire, seized earlier, had an assault rifle and ammunition. The terror module was reportedly run by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed group. Many accused posed as professionals, including doctors, to avoid suspicion. Arrests of Umar’s accomplices—Adil Ahmad Rather, Mujammil Shakeel, and Shaheen Saeed—helped authorities uncover nearly 3,000 kg of explosives and weapons stored at Faridabad and Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir. Officials say the group targeted old, resold cars to make tracing difficult. CCTV footage played a key role in exposing the plan, including Rather’s propaganda activity in J&K. The Al-Falah institution has distanced itself from the actions of the accused, emphasizing its commitment to the nation. This plot highlights a disturbing trend where terrorists adopt professional disguises to infiltrate communities. The investigation is being led by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which continues to unravel the cell’s methods, networks, and potential threats to Delhi and surrounding areas. : 32 Cars Planned for Red Fort Terror Attack in Babri Masjid Revenge Plot: Sources Authorities have uncovered chilling details of a terror plan connected to the Red Fort blast in Delhi.
