Kota | January 5, 2026 Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla highlighted the immense potential of Rajasthan’s Hadoti region as an international tourism destination, describing it as a “remarkable confluence of water, forests, heritage, and culture.” Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the three-day Hadoti Travel Mart held at City Park in Kota on Sunday evening, Birla underscored the region’s unique identity and reaffirmed efforts to place it firmly on the global tourism map. He noted that the enthusiastic participation of travel agents and hotel operators from across India reflects growing confidence in Hadoti’s tourism prospects. Birla emphasized that attractions such as the Chambal Safari, historic forts, stepwells, and religious sites lend the region a distinct character, and expressed optimism that interactions during the mart would boost both domestic and international tourist arrivals. “The dialogue and widespread engagement witnessed over the past three days have made this Travel Mart both meaningful and purposeful,” Birla added. Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who also attended the event, praised Hadoti’s tourism potential and assured that sustained efforts would be made to develop the region. The three-day event saw the participation of nearly 600 tour operators from 26 states, who visited key tourist sites across Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran districts to explore opportunities for including the region in their travel packages. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, State Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar, and Rajasthan Heritage Development and Promotion Authority Chairman Omkar Singh Lakhawat were also present at the event.
