UP Diwas 2026* *Preparations for Uttar Pradesh Diwas 2026 Gather Pace, Minister Jaiveer Singh Inspects Rashtriya Prerna Stha
Lucknow, January 9, 2026 Preparations for Uttar Pradesh Diwas 2026, to be celebrated from January 24 to 26, have entered an advanced stage. With the aim of presenting the state’s cultural richness, development journey and global identity in a strong and engaging manner, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh on Friday conducted a site inspection at Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, the main venue for the celebrations. During the visit, the Minister reviewed arrangements related to event layout, exhibition spaces, cultural programmes, stalls and visitor facilities. He directed officials to ensure that the three-day event reflects the scale, discipline and confidence associated with Uttar Pradesh’s growing national and international profile. Jaiveer Singh made it clear that no gaps in planning or execution will be acceptable during the celebrations. He said the event is being organised under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and will be held on a much larger and more refined scale than previous years, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for visitors. *Union Home Minister invited as Chief Guest* The Minister informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been invited as the Chief Guest for the event. He emphasised that arrangements related to security, traffic management, parking, cleanliness, drinking water, sanitation and medical facilities must meet the highest standards. *Over 100 stalls planned, ODOP to be a major attraction* Jaiveer Singh said that in coordination with the Lucknow Development Authority and the Department of Culture, over 100 stalls will be set up at Rashtriya Prerna Sthal. These will include One District One Product (ODOP) displays, MSME showcases and departmental exhibitions. He instructed officials to ensure adequate space, smooth visitor movement and clear entry and exit points so that the public can explore the venue comfortably. *Uttar Pradesh Diwas to be marked beyond state boundaries* The Minister said Uttar Pradesh Diwas 2026 is being planned not merely as a local celebration, but as a platform to highlight the state’s cultural pride and global aspirations. Efforts are being made to connect with regions and countries where people from Uttar Pradesh live in large numbers, so that the spirit of Uttar Pradesh Diwas resonates beyond India as well. Senior officials from the Culture Department were present during the inspection.
