Apaches Add Air Power to Yudh Abhyas 2026

New Delhi, September 23, 2026 Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026 has expanded its operational training with a strong aviation component, as Indian Army AH-64E Apache attack helicopters join Indian and US Army personnel in integrated combat drills. The participation of the Apache helicopters brings an additional aerial dimension to the joint exercise, with troops from both countries training together as part of coordinated operational activities. A key focus of the drills is to improve interoperability between the Indian and US armies. The participating forces are working on common procedures while strengthening communication and coordination across various combat functions. The exercise also demonstrates the increasing operational complexity of Yudh Abhyas, with both armies training to jointly plan, integrate and execute missions across multiple domains.
