Deep Road Cave-In Near Lucknow University Triggers Safety Concerns

Lucknow, September 02, 2026 A sudden road cave-in near Lucknow University and IT Crossing has raised serious concerns about public safety after a large section of the road collapsed, creating a pit estimated to be around 10–12 feet deep. The incident turned dangerous when a motorcyclist fell into the deep pit. The rider was immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Later, the motorcycle was recovered from the pit with the assistance of a crane. The collapse of the road in the busy area has highlighted the risks posed by damaged infrastructure and the potential danger to commuters. Authorities have since begun efforts to address the situation. Work is currently underway to fill the damaged section and repair the road. The restoration work aims to make the stretch safe again and prevent further accidents in the area.
